Finding your way around this system is not always easy. The Vermont People With AIDS Coalition is here to help you quickly locate the services and information you need and to put you in touch with the people who provide them.

Gathering of Friends
our Annual Retreat for
people living with HIV and
their partners
...in a new location
in Stowe, Vermont
The Retreat Registration form is part of the newsletter. Click on the icon in the upper left corner

Pages 1-4 are the newsletter, Page 5 is information on the Retreat, and Page 6 is the application form.
Registration fees are $75 for Vermonters, and $175 for non-Vermonters. Partial or full scholarships are available
for Vermonters.
Your fee covers all the expenses of the
four day weekend--room (mostly double, some triple),
meals, snacks, workshops, discussion groups,
support groups, social activities, and of course the
amazing Saturday Night Talent Show!
The Inn is very private and comfortable, with lovely rooms, extensive grounds, lots of meeting spaces,
and an excellent kitchen. There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a hottub. We rent the entire space and will have complete privacy for our group.

In addition the Coalition does the following:
- We sponsor an annual four day retreat for people living with HIV and their partners. This year it will be held in Stowe, Vermont. The retreat provides participants with up-to-date information about HIV/AIDS, medical and alternative/complimentary treatments, and social services in a safe, supportive, nurturing and social environment.
- We sponsor workshops and seminars throughout the year where PWA's can come together for support and to receive and exchange educational information.
- We provide a statewide phone number for information and help: 1-800-698-8792.
- We publish a monthly newsletter called "The Update". If you would like to subscribe please send us a letter at P.O. Box 11, Montpelier, VT 05601 or call or e-mail us with your name and address. You can check out this month's UPDATE by clicking the words "The Update" in this paragraph.
- We sell nutritional supplements at wholesale prices through our Buyer's Co-operative. Everyone is welcome to order through the Co-op, and we offer scholarships to eligible HIV+ Vermonters.
- We provide peer counseling and help to the HIV+ community.
- We have a part time Consumer Advocate who can help navigate through the HIV system in Vermont. Call for information. Our Montpelier Office is generally staffed from 11:00 am till 4:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and our voice mail and email is checked on a regular basis.

Membership in the coalition is open to anyone at all. Our services are available to anyone in Vermont who needs them. Volunteer Your Time Do you have time, talents, ideas or money you would like to contribute? Let us know if you can help. We rely on volunteers to do most of the Coalition's work. Our Board of Directors meets monthly in Montpelier to discuss ongoing issues such as our retreat and to consider policy making and goals for the Coalition. |
