The 22st Gathering of Friends Our annual
retreat for people
living with HIV July 12-15, 2012 in Stowe, Vermont Join us for this four day weekend experience filled with workshops, discussion groups, support groups and many other activities. Network with old and new friends, learn new information, have fun! We
hope you will join us this
year at the largest gathering of people with HIV in the state of
Vermont. We look forward to seeing old friends and greeting new
ones. This
year we
are offering workshops led by experts in their field and discussion
groups led by the experts in living well with HIV—Vermonters who
are HIV positive and living full lives. The discussion groups will
offer the opportunity to sit down together and share information on a
variety of topics about living well with HIV. Affected,
but uninfected, partners are also welcome at the Retreat and there
will be discussion groups that focus particularly on your issues. Note:
“partners” are people who are in a significant
relationship with their HIV+ partner. Friends, relatives, and
caregivers are not considered partners for this event. We rent the entire facility and will have complete privacy for our group. All the rooms are on the first floor and are air conditioned. There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna, hottub, , and movie room. Workshops
and groups are scheduled during the day, and there are lots of “fun”
activities where you’ll learn something new and hang out with old
and new friends. Entertainment is planned for the evenings. Registration
fees are $50 for Vermont residents and $150 for out of state
residents. The fee includes 3 nights lodging in mostly double but
some triple rooms, 8 meals (Thursday dinner through Sunday breakfast),
snacks, and all programs and activities. Scholarships are
available for Vermont residents. We regret that we cannot offer
financial help to out of state resident.
